IÂ made this just for fun, to see if it would work. It’s of course not practical as the server-class computer wants to much power (watts).
A scratched Plexiglas window is not only ugly but gives poor visibility, especially in sunlight as the sunlight is reflected in strange ways making it rather hard to see thru the window. A very simple and cheap solution is to polish the Plexiglas with rubbing to grind down the sharp edges of the scratches so that light isn’t reflected in all possible directions.

I polished the Plexiglas with Autosol rubbing and an ordinary power drill. Low speed and low pressure is the key. After about 15 minutes on each side I was happy with the result. The Plexiglas still has a few deep scratches but it is a great improvement.
The principle is the same with scratched CD/DVDs but use toothpaste and a small cloth when removing scratches.
